Seems good, you've definitely got me wondering what happens next. Although for some reason the tone of the story feels a bit light even though the subject matter is dark - I can't put my finger on why though. Maybe if you added something before the first bit (eg. the major being awoken by the vidcom call, or simply describing his quarters while he sleeps) that tried to create a darker atmosphere. You'd want to be careful of going over the top ("It was a dark and stormy night... in the Majors Quarters" :P)</description>
