Edgerunners beware. The Punk is back!

Yo. Its back. Gaming with a vengeance. My all time favourite roleplayer Cyberpunk 2020. So listen up you primitive screwheads, and listen good. The gaming group is back together, for a limited release run. Choice!.

After the Champions campaign kind of … died, the players have been left in the swinging in the breeze, to be found in irons on the sea of no gaming.  Yeah ok enough with the metaphors. lawl.

Im currently writting up an adventure for Cyberpunk 2020, which for those of you who don’t know is kind of like a cross between Blade Runner, Johnny Mnemonic with that late 80’s mirrorshaded look. Yeah you heard me. Mirrorshades.

Its a game I like because its really easy to get dead.

Just like that. Dead. None of this “My magical save vs Magic Missle”. Its just bullet meets forehead in a grand display of gore.

Anyway enough of that. Im planning on having 12 scenarios for the players. Each scenario will hopefully go for the length of a single gaming session, being 6-8 hours, and will be stand alone. Episodic if you will.

A bit of a break from the more epic story lines we usually play. Im going to try to tie the episodes together with an all encompassing plot, which the players will only become part of if they find enough clues to the puzzle.

Im looking forward to running this campaign. I’ve deliberately gone out to think up some scenarios which hopefully should clash with the players sense of right and wrong, which may or may not de-rail some of the parts.

Im even toying with the idea of treating each point missed as a “level up” for my final squad of npcs. That would be quite funny, the more you miss, the harder I get to slam the players in DA FACE!! I mean seriously, who doesnt like the idea of PC’s getting smashed.

Hints on scenario one for the rabid fan base out there. It involves a cat, a GPS system and one seriously pissed off netrunner. I reckon thats enough for 6 hours of fun and merriment.

A major point of difference between campaigns that I’ve previously run, a players background and contacts will be playing a major roll in how the game developes. That does mean that the police will be coming after the players if they go cyberpyscho, messin with gang-bangers may have huge repercussions down the line.

Hell, I might just turn out a scenario with the players dealing with the shit they have screwed up. That would be grand.
